Time to raise some funds at Talloula

I really enjoy our Time with Tanya dates – they give me a chance to share my knowledge and interact with my fellow gardeners. And there’s always something delicious to nibble on as well!

As many of you know, along with gardening, one of my great loves is animals. I just adore my little furkids! On 15 June, I spent a lovely morning at Talloula in Botha’s Hill, catching up with gardeners and friends in support of the SPCA. Having just come back with tons of inspiration from the Chelsea Flower Show, I shared the latest global gardening trends (you can read more about these here) as well as a few off-the-wall gardening ideas sure to get the guests thinking differently about their gardens at home. If you were there, you’ll remember the story about the guy who balances rocks into towers with no support – very cool!

The morning was a great success – we enjoyed a delicious breakfast and our guests were spoilt with goodie bags and lucky draw prizes. We also auctioned off a landscape garden plan – a big thank you to Lee Moon who put in the final bid! – and all proceeds were donated to the Kloof/Highway SPCA to support their excellent work in animal care.
